A taxing time ahead...
Protecting and investing your assets
Like most people, you are probably expecting that, when you die, you will leave
all your possessions to your family and friends. If your total assets
amount to more than £300,000 (tax year 2007/2008), the value of any excess
upon your death will be taxed at a rate of 40% and it will be your family
and friends who will have to pay.
