Mayor opens new office
in Stockton
The Mayor of Stockton has officially opened the new Teesside office of the latest
firm to move to the town’s prestigious Teesdale Park.
Crutes Law Firm is opening a new office in Stockton to meet the growing demand
for its services across Teesside and Yorkshire. The new Crutes House
office will provide state of the art office accommodation and extensive
on site parking for staff and clients.
The Mayor of Stockton, Councillor Mick Stoker said: “I
am delighted to welcome Crutes to Stockton. This kind of investment
is very good for the town and its continued development. There are
many opportunities for firms to relocate to Stockton and it’s an exciting
time for the region.”
Crutes, which is investing around £500,000 in the new
premises, employs nearly 200 people across the North East and Cumbria.
The firm, which is traditionally known for its dominance
in the insurance litigation field, has expanded its practice over the
last five years and now offers expertise to the commercial and private
client marketplace.
Last year Crutes recruited 51 new staff members and it
plans to recruit up to an additional 30 more this year, whilst making
its 20% growth target. Many of the new staff are likely to be based
on Teesside.
Tim Wallis, Chairman of Crutes Law Firm, said: “Our new
office will provide an excellent base to continue our growth in Teesside
and Yorkshire. Stockton has excellent transport links throughout and
beyond Teesside and is rapidly changing and developing. The area also
offers some exciting prospects that we are keen to explore further.”
Gareth Jones, a partner with Crutes, who specialises in
Commercial Property, said: “This is an exciting time for both the commercial
property market and Crutes in Teesside. During the last few months
we have seen a lot of activity in the marketplace, and with new developments
at North Shore, Middlehaven and Wynyard on the horizon, the future
looks positive for the whole area.“
