Crutes Welcomes New Team Member

July 2004

One of the region’s leading law firms has welcomed a new staff member to its ever-growing team.

Crutes Law Firm, which has offices in Newcastle, Carlisle and Middlesbrough, has appointed Andrea Shaw as Manager of the Re-mortgage department. Andrea will work in the firm’s city centre head office in Newcastle at Great North House.

Andrea, who is 25, and originally from South Shields, studied at Newcastle College before joining the Bradford office of Hammond Suddards Edge where she worked as a legal assistant in the re-mortgage department.

She progressed to a role of trainee legal executive with Addleshaw Goddard in Leeds where her role included ensuring re-mortgages were dealt with smoothly.

At McKeags in Newcastle, Andrea went on to become a manager of one of their re-mortgage departments, before leaving to join Crutes.

At Crutes Andrea will manage the re-mortgage department.

She said:” I have always been involved in the re-mortgage side of the business and very much enjoy the work. I’m looking forward to the challenge working here at Crutes. The firm has such a strong team in place, who have all made me very welcome.”

In her spare time Andrea is studying for Ilex, a legal qualification, and trying to keep fit through swimming and the gym.

Danny Davison, Human Resources Manager at Crutes, said: “We are delighted to welcome Andrea to the team at Crutes. The firm is expanding all the time and we are regularly creating positions to meet new demands the growing business requires.”

Crutes is a multi-site practice which has grown steadily over recent years and employs 160 staff with 18 partners.
