We have a national reputation for being at the leading edge of mediation activity. All litigators have mediation awareness training and several partners are accredited mediators.
Mediation has the potential to resolve disputes earlier, with less cost and with a more certain outcome than trial. Our approach is to apply the most effective dispute resolution technique to deal with litigation in the client's best interests.
Some of our recent high profile mediation activities are:
- Mediating insurance industry issues including agreements
as to pre-litigation fixed fees in RTA, EL and Public Liability cases,
CFA success fees and ATE premium levels;
- Paul Hughes represented the Defendant in one of the cases leading to the Court of Appeal landmark case of Halsey v Milton Keynes NHS Trust and Steel v Joy in 2004.
Please contact Paul Hughes for further information.
